Hi there! If you’re planning a trip to the United States and wondering how long your eVisa will be valid — here’s a quick, clear answer.

The U.S. doesn’t offer a full eVisa for everyone, but if you’re from a Visa Waiver Program (VWP) country and applying through ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization), here’s what you need to know:

An ESTA is valid for 2 years from the date it’s approved — or until your passport expires, whichever comes first. During that time, you can visit the U.S. multiple times, but each stay can be up to 90 days only.

If you’re applying for a regular B1/B2 visa (for business or tourism), that visa is often valid for up to 10 years, depending on your country. However, the allowed stay per visit is usually 6 months.
